Overview

During the Ancient War, Cecily, a noble of the Seramo Kingdom, was personally guided by Jancis to become the first human-turned-angel. As a pivotal figure of the Era of Rebirth, "Dawnbreaker" significantly impacted the subsequent history of Mirren.

Chapter One

(11000–17338, Era of Rebirth) Cecily, Amanda Joey's eldest daughter from Seramo Kingdom, had a mother who was a high-ranking official often absent, while her father, with no influence, lived with them.
Cecily took after her brave and spirited mother from a young age. At 12, she felt grown-up enough to join the front lines and aid her mother against the Long Ears.
The family couldn't handle the mischievous girl, so they turned to Amanda, who was far off. But by the time Amanda replied, the girl had already headed to the border.
A splendid procession left Styx for the border, attracting crowds along the route who believed in the Joeys' protection and admired Amanda's daughter.
A joyful girl, emotional servants, and cheering citizens made a memorable scene, contrasted by her father's somber expression.
He never imagined his daughter would dare to act on her wild idea. Did she really think the Long Ears would spare her just because of her lineage?
He yanked Cecily off her horse, gripped her tightly, and delivered a fierce spanking. The typically gentle man was enraged. Despite the pain, Cecily clenched her jaw, refusing to cry.
A spanking wouldn't scare the young lady. Cecily was even more feisty than Amanda had been when she first joined the army.
Cecily, frustrated, resorted to 'teaching' her younger siblings, leading to chaos in the house. Dobin's cries echoed loudly.
After her father humiliated her, Cecily grew even more assertive in public but ignored him for two days, creating a standoff in their relationship.
However, beneath the argument lay real tension. Amanda, at 32, still lacked a successor, a critical issue given the Yagols' average lifespan of 27 years.
Despite cooperation, elves and humans often clashed at the border, leaving Amanda on constant guard. If anything happened to her, what would follow?
Cecily's father, not of the Joey bloodline, couldn't secure vassal loyalty. Among Amanda's kids, Cecila, betrothed to the Shelley heir since age seven, was the first ruled out as successor.
Like Amanda, Cecily was smart and competitive, qualities deemed unfitting for a lord. An ideal ruler should welcome advice, governing gently rather than with a sharp, watchful eye.
Dobin, the youngest, was ruled out for his cowardice. Amanda's subordinates decided to choose her nephew, Peko Joey, as the future lord.
When Cecily tried to join the army, they realized they couldn't wait any longer. If she took command like Amanda, it would be too late by then.
They planned to assassinate Cecily en route to the border. Hidden assassins in the crowd were poised to strike, potentially forcing Amanda to return for the funeral.
During her vulnerable moment, they would ambush her on the road. After eliminating Amanda and her eldest daughter, they could easily assist Peko in taking over..
Amanda's incompetent husband messed things up. With news of Cecily's trip, Amanda would likely return to Styx soon to escort her to the border.
Cecily joining the army spelled doom. Tonight was their last shot, so they decided to take it.
Luck was with them. On October 10th, 11012, during the Era of Rebirth, Cecily, the eldest Joey daughter, suddenly died. Amanda, devastated, named her youngest child, Dobin Joey, as successor as recommended by the vassals.
He later became well-known as Dobin the Pluvither.

Chapter Two

When Cecily awoke, she found herself in a white expanse with a tall yellow tower nearby and a grand palace before her.
A voice echoed from all directions, and she knew it as the voice that had awakened her.
" Finally, you awaken."
"Who are you? Were you sent by them?"
"This is not the city of Styx, how long have I been unconscious?"
"In the terms of the mortal world, 700 years."
Cecily fell silent, seeing the speaker as a fool—perhaps a slave with a shattered mind and no shoes.
Cecily, moved by compassion, vowed not to leave her behind and would take her if she could.
Her mother and father likely had no knowledge of her situation; how must they be faring?
Cecily's priority was to return to Styx and make the rebels pay for their treachery.
Thoughts raced through her mind, yet she felt a newfound clarity and even a flicker of pride.
Cecily sensed movement outside and looked up as a figure fell from the sky. She swiftly prepared for battle, whispering to the slave beside her, "Stay back."
The expected fight never happened. The figure landed, knelt before Cecily, and stayed silent.
The figure landed softly, knelt, and remained silent. With six pairs of azure wings and raven-black skin, he was undeniably the legendary God of Darkness.
Even the boldest would falter before the God of Darkness kneeling before Cecily. Anxiety surged within her, but she steadied herself for the maidservant's sake.
"Rise... rise now."
She feigned composure and issued a command, but the figure paid her no mind.
The air felt thick as the figure remained still, wings quivering slightly, hinting at the God of Darkness' inner turmoil.
"Rise, Sarah."
"Yes, Master."
Cecily's spine tingled at the voice behind her. Sarah, Goddess of Darkness and War!
She had no idea the "fool" was the master of the legendary God of Darkness!

Chapter Three

Wrapped in a gentle ray of light, Cecily felt a massive influx of information.
It was already the year 11712, and the Abyss forces had invaded the human world. Most eastern regions were now in the hands of demons, forcing humans and Elves to unite despite their long-standing conflicts.
What kept the demons from advancing west was not this alliance, but Sinkou, who was present everywhere. The Abyss forces grew weak without the Noctis Crystal, yet the calamity known as the Ancient War was just beginning.
Everything Cecily had once known, including nations, had vanished in the aftermath of the catastrophe. Her plans now felt like mere illusions, and former foes had become allies, though not necessarily friends; after all, she did not belong to the human race.
Humanity was unique with its rigid social structure; one belonged to something from birth. As that system collapsed, Cecily found herself without a place among them. Did her existence even matter?
No one would celebrate her emergence or lament her disappearance. Her emotions seemed irrelevant to those around her; she felt as if she had already "faded away."
Which identity could she adopt to remain in the Heavenly Realm? The one once seen as a slave had become the true master of the human world, while the gods worshiped by humanity were mere servants.
Occasionally, Jancis would stare at the magic ball in the hall for extended periods. Cecily recognized it as Mirren. Her hometown, the grand Styx, appeared only as a distant dot in the magic ball.
Cecily felt no awe for the creator god. Although she sometimes conversed with the deity, it often felt like talking to herself.
"Alas, not all demons are evil. Let them settle in Ciaran, won't you? They'll follow your orders. Poor things, they keep fighting."
"I have created everything and invested immense effort into it. Yet, some still demand more. You may leave now."
Cecily found herself outside the hall, where Sarah awaited her nearby.
A blue stream of energy filled Cecily, forming four pairs of white wings on her back. She was no longer a human.
"Angel Orelga, you are now the Werth of peace. End the chaos in the human world as you wish."

Historical Notes

Amanda Joey:
"The Lionheart" Amanda Joey (10980–11012, Era of Rebirth) was a rare female head of the Joey family. At just 13, her brother Robert sent her to the front lines in 10993. Her fearless nature and military success earned respect, leading the family head, Ranko Joey, to disinherit his eldest son in her favor.

Dobin Joey:
"Pluvither" Dobin (10005–10054), a famous Seramo Kingdom general, expanded the southern borders by nearly 300 kilometers and revived the Joey family.

Cecily:
After becoming an angel, Cecily's personality split into two: her human self and her angelic self, each with distinct traits.

Cecila:
Cecila (10003–10148, Era of Rebirth), Cecily's younger sister and the Joey family's second daughter, was gentle. After marrying into the Shelley family, they fled north post-Synge Dynasty, mixing with local tribes to form the Velarra settlement, known for their blue hair. Darker indigo shades signify purer bloodlines.

Seramo Kingdom:
The Seramo Kingdom (2438–侍主7, Era of Rebirth), founded by the Leslie family, emerged after the Droy city-states dissolved. Though lacking noble ancestry, their open policies gained support from the nobility, but disdain prevented centralized rule, leaving families in control of their own lands.

The Joeys:
The Joey family (2438–22355, Era of Rebirth) descended from Aiyan settlement and held noble status through several dynasties. Their fief, Styx, on the southeastern border, made them a major force in northern territories. They played a vital role in the Ancient War but nearly faced destruction battling Helois.

The Synge Kingdom:
The Synge Kingdom (侍主8–17338, Era of Rebirth) was founded by the Clemens, former Seramo nobles. It became a highly militarized state, leading the fight against the Abyss.
