Overview
With dragon blood in her veins, she was born to fight. She quelled the Lybiehte Vagabond Rebellion and achieved great feats in events like the "Dark Tome of Midgard" and the "Fall of the Tower of Sanctity." After singlehandedly defeating an extremist vagabond group, she was honored by the Sanctuary of Truth. However, according to historical records, she was gravely injured and lost her battle abilities.
Chapter One
(1428–1459, Era of Eternal Flame) In her desolate upbringing, Celestina often heard, "You're gifted and destined for power. Use it to lead and inspire."
Young Celestina, unsure but determined, learned to wield a spear early on. Despite the harsh conditions, she found solace in her elders' guidance and felt united when defending others.
Becoming the strongest early on, Celestina hoped to aid her nurturing group. But adulthood revealed a darker reality—family affection masked by rivalry and envy. Despite repeated fracturing, she couldn't leave the place she called home.
An outsider named Jasha Kaffeth joined, healing and soothing the group with remarkable powers. Celestina's instinctive distrust clashed with Jasha's evident disdain, baffling others until a pivotal event unfolded.
After their leader's sudden death, Jasha Kaffeth took charge, and suspicion fell on Celestina as the killer. Divided opinions tore the group apart. Unable to bear the discord, Celestina chose to leave, despite protests of her innocence.
Traveling alone, Celestina confronted dangers effortlessly but found no place to belong. Tales of Midgard, a peaceful sanctuary, piqued her curiosity. She resolved to see it for herself.
Arriving at Midgard, Celestina found herself initially barred from entry due to its strict rules. However, her Calpines heritage was recognized when someone spotted her dragon horn, revealing her potential as a Nova. With the Calpines' endorsement, the gates of Midgard finally opened to her.
Transitioning from vagabond to Midgard noble left Celestina bewildered by noble customs. She soon embraced her role as a divine protector, drawn to Lord Deity's vision of order and peace. Despite never meeting Lord Deity, she admired his strength and resolved to uphold the divine ideals, pledging to safeguard Midgard's tranquility.
Accepted into the Sanctuary of Truth, Celestina proved herself as a strong, resilient, and dependable warrior. Her gentle demeanor earned her popularity among comrades, and soon she was known as "Realm of the Sky".
Chapter Two
Celestina, a skilled warrior, became captain of the seventh Nova squad in the Absolving Theocracy. She sought higher ranks to draw closer to divine visions.
Just three weeks after her promotion, the Sanctuary of Truth learned of a vagabond rebellion led by Peri, who claimed the legacy of Layla, the "Bleak Shooting Star." They had formed a settlement promising stability for wanderers, but reports revealed they were conducting forbidden rituals to invoke the Wraith. Angered by these profane acts, Celestina insisted on leading the mission to confront them, refusing to run from her past.
Celestina resolved to uncover the truth. Disguised as a vagabond, she infiltrated the well-organized Lybiehte group, named after the city of liberty. They had hunting parties, sanitation crews, and even a cultural education division. While she resonated with their ethos, her past clashed with their forbidden rites.
The decree called for the immediate disbandment of Lybiehte, but Celestina felt conflicted. "If we can cut off the serpent's head, there's still room for redemption…" Determined, she infiltrated the ritual site. To her shock, she found Jasha Kaffeth leading a dark ceremony, surrounded by sentinels who were her closest kin. They wielded a sinister stone that transformed ordinary vagabonds into warriors, clearly infused with forbidden power.
Celestina was soon recognized, and the crowd scattered like the tide. Her former comrades in heavy armor surrounded her. The witch's power was clear, but not all issues could be solved by force. "Lackey! Traitor! Executioner!" The shouts faded as she left, bearing Jasha Kaffeth's head and the wounds from her kin.
To this day, it remains unknown how deeply Celestina was affected by those accusations. The only record is of her ruthlessly purging her homeland, leading to the complete disintegration of the vagabonds who broke the taboo. Thus, she was given the title "Talon of Purge."
Her demeanor grew silent and reclusive; she isolated herself at home, rejecting visitors. Some claimed to see her by the window, watching wildflowers bloom or following stray cats until they vanished.
Chapter Three
The wilderness resumed its dilapidation after the Lybiehte was dissolved. With Celestina's help, many vagabonds without homes were relocated to the Periphery of Midgard. After a long naturalization process, their offspring would become people of God in the sacred city.
Celestina found a balance between her ideals and reality in the Periphery, where everyone appeared to have what was best for them. However, the truth tasted bitter. Three years after the Lybiehte's dissolution, the "Midgard Dark Tome" incident broke out, leading many civilians to attempt forbidden rituals, with some even offering themselves as living sacrifices. Squad Seven purged the Periphery, and Celestina lost all her relatives.
From that day, she devoted herself to work, giving up holidays to serve the Vassals of Lord Deity. Her reputation became notorious, and the Realm of the Sky turned into the Talon of Purge. Frequent battles brought her glory but also wounds; each victory came with heavier injuries. In 1452, she quelled the "Fall of the Tower of Sanctity," killing Peri, the late Lybiehte leader. Afterward, she announced her retirement and never left Midgard again.
Celestina withdrew from public life, seen only by the Calpines, who reported she either secluded herself in her room or stood in her garden, gazing at her cat.
"Celestina adopted the cat, but I never see them close… Perhaps she has an aura of death; animals have sharp instincts," the young Calpines speculated.
One afternoon, someone saw the cat searching for food in the street. A relative visited Celestina and found her passed away, her indigo spear resting horizontally on her knees.
