Overview

One of only two Seraphs in history, she is the oldest angel, the interpreter, and executor of divine will. She is Sarah, the Servant of God.

Chapter One

(Era of Firstlight 1–Era of Frost Veil 18194) Sarah was born before Mirren took shape.
In those unstable times, the divine saw the world needed both light and darkness. Light covered the land already, but life needed darkness to flourish. Thus, Sarah, the angel of darkness, was created.
Upon awakening, Sarah faced the stoic visage of the divine. Without a word spoken, she grasped her mission. Sarah obediently followed the divine's guidance to her destination.
She cloaked Mirren, a pristine newborn planet, with darkness. Light and darkness intertwined in the skies, descending to nurture the birth and evolution of life.
By divine decree, Sarah became the world's first law, the nurturing foundation of all. Silent yet loyal, she fulfilled every task to honor the divine will.
Through millennia, Mirren's laws evolved. Continents rose from oceans, life ventured onto land, and civilizations grew from exploration.
Sarah disregarded human civilization, finding greater meaning in serving the divine.
Yet, this young world drew the attention of an unfathomable force in the Celestial Sea.
In the Heavenly Realm, whispers of the Aster Wraith ensnared weak-willed angels, clouding their minds.
Unfamiliar with the Aster Wraith's might, the angels remained unaware as the divine concentrated on Mirren's order.
The Aster Wraith's corruption sparked a major rebellion in the Heavenly Realm, unnoticed until then. Sarah was now the barrier between the fallen angels and the divine.
"A fallen angel said, "You're imprisoning yourself in Jancis's cage, Sarah. Some things matter more than eternity, even you." Sarah couldn't understand their words but couldn't tolerate their betrayal as they aimed at the divine.
In the fierce battle, Sarah led with archangelic power over darkness and war. Despite severe injuries, the Heavenly Realm triumphed, banishing or destroying the fallen angels.
The ones cast into the Realm of Sin later became the origins of demons.

Chapter Two

Brief turmoil didn't change history. Mirren stays radiant, with minor unrest hidden beneath.
Arrogant demons sought to return, sparking the "Ancient War," a simple clash between mortals and demons. Archangel Sarah watched from above, indifferent to their sins.
The newly ascended angel, once mortal, aimed to meddle in mortal affairs. Sensing danger, Sarah knew the Aster Wraith's power still lingered. To her, the angel's resolve was weak, easily swayed like the rebels of old.
Sarah intervened, azure flames engulfing the Heavenly Realm, her power shaking all angels. None dared leave without her consent, fearing the Aster Wraith's corruption.
"Sarah, fold your wings."
The decree echoed: the "Servant of God" obeys eternally. Sarah laid down the "Glory" and retreated behind the throne.
The fires of Mirren burned on as Orelga returned to Ciaran as a mortal. She banished the demons to the Abyss, sacrificing herself in the process.
Sarah gazed silently at the divided mainland, perplexed that anything could be valued more than eternal life. She stood at the peak of the heavens, the servant closest to the divine.
Despite endless suffering, new civilizations rise and flourish. She has seen it all.
Blasphemers and renegades have no future; it's certain.
As she ascends, hymns echo through the cosmos, praising the Archon of Angels.
Sarah, our monarch.
You are the embodiment of splendor and glory.
You command the whispers of darkness.
We all admire your visage.
We extol your magnanimity.
Sarah, our monarch.
Beneath your wings, we are born.
In your flames, we meet our end.
You immerse us in eternity.
Sarah, you are our sovereign.

Chapter Three

In Mirren, the gaze of the Archon of Angels captured the fate of every creature. She snapped the wings of demons, eradicated superstitions, and quelled revolts with darkness and flames, yet humanity persisted in destroying churches.
The foolish Queen and her ignorant subjects would eventually dissipate like clouds. Fate might present interludes on its path, but all mischief in the mortal realm would ultimately be rectified.
Spreading her wings, she surveyed those who dared defy fate. Though a servant of the gods, she also wielded power over all living beings.
With the deities ignoring mortals, the latter took action, leading to the conclusion of humanity's endless wars as the cosmic prelude faded.
The legendary Child of Destiny arrived, shattering fate with the might of the Celestial Sea, rendering Sarah unable to foresee the future.
For the first time, the Archangel felt fear toward chaotic humanity, rooted in the fear of the unknown.
Eternity signified stability, while reforms represented emerging power—something she had never witnessed.
Flowers that bloom from dirt tend to be more resilient. When the flag of the Gate of Heaven appeared in the Heavenly Realm, Sarah recognized it was her last chance.
She couldn't fathom how a Lost Elf could unify the mortal realm, just as she never grasped the beauty of that world.
She understood she couldn't halt the Gate of Heaven and could only slightly slow the "vicious dog" she had unleashed.
Yet, she remained a servant of the deities, compelled to fulfill her impossible mission. Perhaps something existed beyond eternal life.
She clung to this belief until the end of her 120,000-year life, defending her conviction fiercely. Nothing could weaken her resolve. The Archangel embodied this principle:
"Behind Sarah is the throne of god."
"All vanished beings had things they were meant to protect."
Note: In the early Era of Eternal Flame, when summoned as a Aster, Sarah felt no regret and was even blasphemous toward Lord Deity. No force could tame her, leading to her sealing in the Sanctuary of Truth until the current Master of the Oracle Division awakened. After swearing loyalty to the Lord Oracle, she became a humble servant of the Sanctuary, though her true allegiance lay with the Lord Oracle, not the Sanctuary of Truth.

Historical Notes

God of Darkness:
Refers to Sarah. Angels are often called gods in historical records, like Churchill as the "God of Love" and Sinkou as the "Sun Deity."

Autonomous Consciousness:
Early angels had no self-awareness, functioning as embodiments of laws, like Noah, an "Engjell." Over time, as they interacted with mortals, more angels gained autonomy.

Abyss:
Before the Era of Eternal Flame, Mirren lacked Magma Law, and the vast underground space was called the Abyss, which absorbed energy from the Celestial Sea. Lord Deity later turned it into the Sea of Order.

Orelga:
"Dawnbreaker" Cecily (11000–17338, Era of Rebirth), a Seramo noble, became the first mortal angel, named Orelga by Jancis. In the Ancient War, she sacrificed herself to close the Abyssal Portal in Hol City, ending the conflict.

Divided in Two:
Cecily's self-destruction split the unified continent of Mirren into fragments, the largest being Elgron and Ciaran.

Threads of Destiny:
Historical records note that after the Child of Destiny was born, Wraith Moira unexpectedly withdrew her gift.

Glory:
Sarah's weapon, Glory, made from War Wraith Gaeastarve's star and Jancis' fire essence, can resonate with the Celestial Sea and quickens Sarah's Restore, making her nearly immortal.

Gate of Heaven:
A symbol of Lord Deity, often used as a reference to Him.
