Overview

She is the last scion of "Demonic Sovereign" Wolsheim. At her birth, a prophecy was foretold – "She is destined to rise as a mighty archdemon, the equal of the Demonic Sovereign himself."

Chapter One

(Era of Rebirth 27450–Era of Frost Veil 3) Naphee, the younger sister of the infamous demon Lilium, and the final heir of Demonic Sovereign Wolsheim.
Wolsheim, the Demonic Sovereign and Soulkeeper of Naphee, was among the oldest and most powerful demons. As Wolsheim's second offspring, great expectations were placed on Naphee. Strangely, Wolsheim returned to the Source of Darkness right after Naphee's birth.
This prophecy foretold Naphee would become a demon as powerful as Wolsheim, shaping her entire life.
After Wolsheim returned to the Source of Darkness, the fierce power struggles in the Abyss dealt further blows to the Campbells. Young Naphee's parents perished, leaving her to depend on her sister Lilium.
From a young age, Naphee was burdened with expectations, often called the future Eternal Overlord and one of the Campbell heirs. These titles surrounded her, convincing her that she would rival Wolsheim as an Overlord.
"Haha, I will be a fearsome demon in Abyss someday, so you better respect me!" Naphee constantly bragged.
Naphee frequently stirred up trouble, adeptly pulling pranks such as adding allergens to disliked people's food or swapping out ineffective magical items during ceremonies.
However, these were just child's play in the end. What truly troubled the Campbell family and others was Naphee's habit of taking on tasks far beyond her years. She insisted, "As the Demonic Sovereign's descendant and future Overlord, I must uphold my titles."
Her "glorious deeds" included getting lost while collecting Noctis Crystal, being chased by ground worms she tried to exterminate, and causing explosions by tampering with alchemy formulas.
Naphee's elder sister, Lilium, shrugged off the future Overlord's mixed record with a smile. Naphee herself never took failures to heart; she viewed them as inevitable.
"Failure is the mother of success. The more successful a demon becomes, the more failures they've endured. So I'll surely become very successful in the future!"
With the Dark Parliament's help, demons finally had a chance to return to the surface. Lilium, as head of the Campbell family in the Abyss, couldn't go herself. Naphee, however, eagerly pestered to be sent.
Lilium, protective of her sister Naphee, convinced the parliament to allocate her the opportunity. Recognizing Naphee's unreliability, Lilium summoned the Void Demon Mookaei to escort her safely.
Lilium successfully subdued Mookaei, a Void Demon from another world, and assigned it the duty of safeguarding and guiding Naphee to the surface. To conceal its identity, Lilium cast an illusion, transforming Mookaei into a puppy.
Before they departed, Lilium repeatedly cautioned Naphee against using her powers or exposing her demonic identity. Naphee nodded along but didn't take her sister's words to heart
Upon reaching the surface, Naphee found the human world less exciting than she had imagined. Revered by the Dark Parliament as a noble Ansus Demon, Naphee faced frustrating restrictions to avoid alerting the Heavenly Realm.
Unable to resist any longer, Naphee secretly slipped out of the Dark Parliament building without informing the Dark Parliament or Mookaei, truly arriving in the human city.

Chapter Two

Amidst widespread unrest, nobles operated independently, and Naphee's city, linked to the Dark Parliament, was closely associated with the Abyss.
The rulers, guided by the Dark Parliament, used the Abyss' power to summon demons, resulting in intense resource exploitation by the nobles.
The citizens resisted the nobles' exploitation, prompting violent suppression that plunged the city into chaos.
he second daughter of the Campbells, newly arrived and unaware of the dangers, was oblivious to the chaos around her, driven only by curiosity about the surface.
Naphee, despite her past impatience with Lilium, remembered her sister's advice, disguising herself and concealing her powers to remain undetected as a demon.
Even while disguised, Naphee asserted her identity as the "future ruler of the city," proclaiming it publicly.
"What is this fruit? I'll take a bite!" "
"Yummy! What? I have to pay? Ah! It would seem that, I forgot my wallet. "
"Hmph, consider yourself lucky. I may not have money now, but in the future, I will be the ruler of this city... no, of all cities on the surface!" "
"Rest assured, I will remember your service today. Serving the future Eternal Overlord, Naphee, should be an honor!" "
Naphee's behavior quickly caught the attention of the city's rulers. They identified her as an unruly troublemaker and sent the city guards to capture her.
The guards, amused by Naphee's youth, thought her a runaway, yet they had to follow orders and "invited" her to the prison.
Believing the armed guards recognized her status, Naphee confidently followed them to the prison, but since she was just a child, they kept her in their quarters rather than a cell.
Angered by her confinement, Naphee grabbed the keys during the night and escaped from the room as the guards slept.
Naphee was shocked to see the emaciated prisoners, a stark contrast to her luxurious upbringing as the audacious second daughter.
Seeing Naphee with the guards' keys, the prisoners became excited and praised her as "the eternal ruler of this city" in hopes of convincing her to let them out.
"Hmph, glad you understand. In that case, you are my subjects, and I, Naphee, cannot let my subjects suffer. Be grateful to me! "
As Naphee released the prisoners, they rushed out joyfully, ignoring her. Overwhelmed, she got caught in the chaos when the guards clashed with the escaping prisoners, suffering minor injuries until Abyssal Councilor Remiel intervened with reinforcements.
Seeing Naphee injured, Remiel frowned and the city lord fainted in fear, both recognizing the mark of the Ansus Demons on her, though unaware of her true identity.
Remiel quickly healed Naphee with magic and added protective layers. Intrigued by the "gentle" dark councilor, she obediently followed him back to the council.
Remiel's kind treatment of Naphee likely stemmed from fear of the Abyssal Council. It proved effective, as she obediently remained in the Dark Parliament and no longer tried to flee.
Lilium's fury grew when Mookaei informed her of Naphee's "little adventure." The Heavenly Realm's vigilance posed a threat, as any discovery of Naphee by the church could cost her life and endanger the abyss's plans.
It was the first time Naphee witnessed her sister so angry. Though she refused to admit her mistake, she stayed inside afterward. The Little Overlord often took on tasks beyond her abilities, creating chaos in her wake.
Mookaei felt a blend of frustration and concern for the young master. However, Mookaei believed that Naphee would one day become a powerful Overlord, viewing others' underestimation of her as a clever ruse.

Chapter Three

The Dark Movement spiraled out of Remiel's control. She founded the Dark Parliament to revitalize the Hilbeyan Empire and her family, but it drew all kinds of people.
The allure of the Abyss transformed everyone involved, including Remiel. No one could resist the charm of the Abyss's lady.
Naphee wasn't an idealist; she had witnessed brutal political battles in the Abyss and personally dealt with family traitors. Still, she found humanity's decline perplexing.
She believed family traitors and innocent people were different. The thought that her ideas could ruin mortal happiness terrified her. She could never take her power for granted like her sister did.
So, when Remiel approached her, Naphee played the role of the noble yet somewhat "naive" demon again.
"Lady Naphee, can I ask for your help? I created the Dark Parliament to end human wars and restore the Hilbeyan Empire."
"Impossible! Demons, especially me, should rule the human world! Ahahaha!"
"True, but you might've noticed wars are increasing. If this continues, you'll rule over ruins."
"Ugh, good point. If nothing remains, who will sing Lady Naphee's praises?"
"So, Lady Naphee, will you bring peace to humanity?"
"Absolutely! It's the overlord's duty to protect her people! Let's go!"
Thus, Remiel "persuaded" Naphee to collaborate and "bring order" to the noble territories under the Dark Parliament's influence.
For the Abyss, the Dark Parliament was just a useful tool. They never intended for it to be strong or united but rather a means for Abyssal races to return to the surface.
Demons instigated conflicts through the Dark Parliament, aiming to weaken humanity through constant strife until they became too feeble to resist the Abyss. Chaos and warfare were their preferred methods.
Nobles began ignoring the commoners, waging wars for power, wealth, or revenge.
Yet, objectively, Naphee did bring peace to some areas, albeit unintentionally undermining the Abyss's plans. She wasn't sure if she did the right thing, but laughter is better than blood, right?
As a respected Ansus Demon, Naphee faced no opposition from the Abyss forces, but they were never fully tolerant of her. When complaints reached Lilium, she couldn't just ignore them.
Lilium had to take action against Remiel but secretly informed Mookaei to protect Naphee from the impending crisis.
Ultimately, Remiel was killed during the purges, and Naphee, brought back to the Abyss by Mookaei, missed it all.
To calm the major clans in the Abyss, Lilium put Naphee under house arrest. However, as Lilium's only family, she couldn't be too strict. So, whenever Naphee found a chance to escape, Lilium turned a blind eye.
"Hey, I'm Naphee the great demon! Want to be my sidekick? Hahahaha!"

Historical Notes

Naphee's pet:
Mookaei is a Void Demon summoned by Naphee. On land, Mookaei appears as a canine, but this form does not reflect a lack of intelligence; rather, Mookaei's cunning has frequently aided Naphee. Historical accounts indicate that Naphee had a distaste for this pet, as Mookaei often made inappropriate remarks during Naphee's moments of triumph.

Remiel:
Remiel (Era of Rebirth 28627–Era of Frost Veil 3), known as the "Ember of Radiance," was the founder of the Dark Parliament.
