Overview

She is a schoolgirl who opted out of traditional education to embrace her quirky genius within the digital realm. Through the lens of her family's colossal telescope, she peers into the "Cloud," unveiling all she seeks.

Chapter One

(2006–2021, Sanctum Calendar) Mirai, with a unique temperament, grew up in an orphanage. She was adopted multiple times but returned each time due to her personality until her adoptive father finally took her in at age seven.
The kind-looking adoptive father noticed the frail girl sitting quietly in a corner, appearing lonely yet special.
Shortly after adopting Mirai, he arranged for her to start school, despite her repeated reluctance.
At first, he assumed she was just shy, but he soon realized he was mistaken. This girl was inherently different.
She could read minds, terrifying others. It meant no one could hide anything from her presence.
She'd catch every tiny thought or embarrassing idea. Naturally, everyone hated feeling so exposed to her scrutiny.
Worse, she'd voice others' private thoughts aloud. This ability made it nearly impossible for her to form friendships.
Luckily, her foster dad adored her. Noticing her school struggles, he chose to teach her at home and sustain them with his small store.
Her leaving school relieved classmates and teachers alike. Everyone has secrets and flaws, and her ability made them all uneasy.

Chapter Two

Now free from school, Mirai retreated to her room but kept in touch with her adoptive father, showing her appreciation.
Like many of her peers, she began exploring the internet and quickly became enamored with this world of freedom.
Everything was so uninhibited, without the masks of pretense. Everyone eagerly unleashed their true selves, bold and even brash.
Perhaps Mirai was naturally a genius with computers. In this world where face-to-face interaction wasn't required, she became a renowned hacker within just a year.
But the price of freedom is often chaos; the line between "uninhibited" and "lawless" is thin. The online world wasn't all beautiful; Mirai saw increasing amounts of unbridled malice there.
Why are acts of kindness labeled as "showing off" once they're recorded? Why can statements be blown out of proportion and relentlessly attacked for a few ill-chosen words?
Why is a hardworking idol, who achieved popularity through effort, depicted as a horrifying demon by some and viciously attacked?
If such things happened at school, Mirai might not have the courage to speak out. But in the online world she loved so much, this kind of violence couldn't be allowed!
Mirai tried to connect to the "Cloud." Despite being younger than the official age limit, her soul's strength was sufficient. The process was going smoothly until an unexpected event occurred.
Mirai tried to connect to the "Cloud." Though younger than the age limit, her soul's strength was adequate. The process went well until an unexpected event arose.
Even the most audacious hackers couldn't fathom someone successfully infiltrating the "Cloud," much less a 14-year-old using a telescope...
With partial access to the Cloud and her hacking skills, Mirai was almost god-like in Laihart. She could discover anything in the world, whenever she wished.
So, she began to use her abilities to launch devastating attacks on those who spread malice in the online world and the sources behind that malice.

Chapter Three

As half an administrator of Could, Mirai can precisely "sanction" those who spread rumors and speak harshly to others in the cyber world.
Of course, what malice could a little girl have? Mirai is not into harsh warnings and vile methods. All she does is customized pranks.
Mirai targets ordinary people who envy the capable and lack tolerance for differing opinions. She finds one-on-one pranks to be the simplest and most effective punishment, preserving their dignity while imparting valuable lessons.
Thanks to Mirai, the hostility in the cyber world is somewhat restrained, but unfortunately, it doesn't last long.
In the Cloud, Mirai sees far more than she expects. The underlying commonality of what she sees is called "the truth."
Truth in good hands brings reassurance; in the wrong hands, it breeds unease. Mirai's actions deeply unsettle "that person."
Moreover, Mirai discovers "that person" collaborating with the Church of Clerics to combat the Infernos while supplying children to the radicals as combatants.
That person, Takashima Genzo, the head of Laihart since ancient times, naturally wouldn't tolerate the little girl's shenanigans under his nose.
Furthermore, Mirai publicly announces her intention to expose these shady dealings, not to side with the Infernos, but to seek justice.
However, before Mirai takes action, a long article titled "Famous Hacker Colludes with Infernos" is posted online, completely disrupting her plans.
Now, those with numerous complaints against the Infernos, along with those previously targeted by Mirai, readily believe she is a lapdog of the Infernos.
Soon, a campaign to eliminate hackers erupts in Laihart, with many famous hackers attacked at home and most being killed.
Mirai instinctively wants to escape, which is not shameful for a 14-year-old girl, until she receives an anonymous email.
"Stand up, unless you want your beloved nation to be destroyed." This is no prank, as the email is from Takashima Genzo.
That day, Mirai's adoptive father is surprised when she comes downstairs and asks, "Daddy, my favorite chips have a new flavor, but they're only at the supermarket five blocks away. Can you get me two bags?"
Her adoptive father doesn't know there is no such new flavor, and even if there was, Mirai would never get to taste them.
After watching her father leave, Mirai returns to her room, awaiting the church and Seien Kessho, the latest weapon not intended to target her first.
Self-sacrifice doesn't mean submission. Just before the church breaks into the house, Mirai hits Enter, sending an email about the Takashimas' scandals to everyone in Luthart.
"You're finally here. Please keep your promise not to harm my father…"
As a spatial rift opens and closes, the top hacker known online as "Oppai Woman" ends her story in Laihart.
"My father has a bad back. I hope he remembers to use the ointment I got him."
"I never got to tell the high school girl who never beats me in that game I always cheated."
"Inferno... I've never seen one, but they can't be scarier than human."

Historical Notes

Fireskin:
To avoid being caught by Jancis, Fireskin went into hiding soon after Mirren's creation. Knowing well that if the God of Elements sensed them, they might not be so fortunate again. However, in Year 2003 of Sanctum Calendar (17251, Era of Frost Veil), Fireskin felt the fluctuations in Mirren's energy intensify while Jancis' presence rapidly waned. They recognized it as a chance to act. Unfortunately, they were discovered when approaching Mirren, and their essence was forcibly integrated into Mirren's laws. The birth of the Child of Destinyhe witnessed the celestial fires ignited by Fireskin's mergence.

Cloud:
Originally crafted by the Infernos to enslave the Mensas, the Cloud inadvertently amalgamated their collective soul powers and led to their uprising. Now, any adult Mensa, or anyone whose soul power reaches a specific threshold, can connect their soul to the Cloud. This connection is essential for citizenship in Laihart. Once a citizen's soul is linked, the Cloud dynamically allocates power based on the individual's intrinsic qualities.
