Overview

She began as an orphaned forest elf but came to serve the Elf Queen by chance. She read a lot and became a master in magical constructs over the centuries. From the Sacred Dragon War to the Rise of Torah, this timid elf witnessed numerous historical events.

Chapter One

(Era of Frost Veil 17817–Era of Eternal Flame 805) Born among lower-class forest elves in Hilica, her mother, Fianna Lunula, was once an imperial musician for the Elven Sovereign.
Yarve's imperial orchestra, with nearly a hundred skilled musicians per instrument type, swelled to nearly ten thousand performers by 17750 for the queen's 500th Coronation Anniversary.
Fianna, a forest elf and a team member, cherished sharing the experience with her daughter. It was an honor to see Her Majesty in person, a rare privilege for elves.
Fianna's time as an imperial musician brought more than just honor. As a forest elf, marrying into Aishimia's high elf society was a challenge.
After retiring, Fianna returned home to Hilica. Having lived in Aishimia, she felt out of sync with the local forest elves, where lifelong partners were common and long-lived elves rarely remained single.
Among the few exceptions, most were widowed or childless. Fianna, seen as a noble imperial musician by local forest elves, remained out of their reach.
When Kelsuna was born, Fianna was already 900 years old, and no reliable records mention the biological father.
It was a common dilemma for forest elves: grateful for their time on Aishimia but facing awkwardness upon returning home after retirement.
Kelsuna grew up in a single-parent home, rarely venturing out. With her mother having few friends, she spent most of her time keeping her company.
Kelsuna found solace in reading, her window to the world. She had a natural knack for connecting with authors and grasping their words.
In 17890, the Era of Frost Veil, Queen Maiyee visited the south and stopped at Fianna's home. Fianna, already aged, received a promise from the Queen to care for her daughter.
Kelsuna became the Queen's maid, though her lack of etiquette training made her clumsy at first. The Queen always comforted her kindly whenever Kelsuna blamed herself.
Over time, Maiyee became the most cherished person in Kelsuna's heart, replacing her mother.
With Maiyee's arrangement, Kelsuna trained in etiquette and magic during breaks, revealing unexpected magical aptitude.
She swiftly grasped spellcasting methods and easily crafted advanced spells, likely thanks to her reading habit.
Despite her forest elf heritage limiting her magical prowess, Kelsuna had no ambition for power. Her only goal was to fulfill the Queen's tasks.
Mastering her duties for the Queen, Kelsuna's introversion led to few friendships among the elves.
Kelsuna's years of study turned her into a proficient magic crafter, a talent she was oblivious to.

Chapter Two

Over the past decades, Mirren has spiraled into chaos, and the defeat in the Sacred Dragon War loomed over Yarve, as the proud Elves struggled to accept their loss.
The queen's decisions faced scrutiny for the first time. Kelsuna, usually reserved, argued that retreating from Ciaran saved many lives and that admitting defeat is courageous.
The distressed maid cried in private, recognizing the queen's greater struggles. It had been a while since she saw the queen smile.
Kelsuna imagined ways to bring joy to the queen but never acted, always choosing to keep her feelings hidden.
With the maritime ban, the Elves lost contact with the world. They heard of a unified Ciaran but had little faith, considering the allies' historic stalemate with the dragons.
The Elves realized the threat of the new power after the Zinew Archipelago battle, where the Thelios Kingdom's defenses fell in a day, and the Grauds pledged loyalty to the new king.
Demons and Orccodros were seen in battle, and now much of the Zinew Archipelago is submerged. A colossal wave over 500 meters tall hit Melaxi's port, hundreds of miles distant.
In this bleak situation, the Elves confronted their fate, with the "Gate of Heaven" overshadowing Yarve and Lord Deity's final command: submit or die.
Kelsuna stayed loyal to her queen, sure she would choose wisely. Protected by the Heartwood, Yarve was safe from even the fiercest dragon
"I see your worries, but she's not a dragon and her power is otherworldly."
"You have little left after all these years. This hair ornament, a gift from my sister, is now yours to keep."
"My child, fear not. After my death, they will not trouble the Elves anymore."
In 18187, Melidie the Kinslayer ignited the Heartwood Karianthillae, pleading for forgiveness from Lord Deity as many Elves fell in the unrest.
Once an idol admired by all young Elves, she had betrayed her queen and became the servant of a new deity, the Dark Elf King.
Lord Deity lifted the curse on the Elves, but it shortened their lifespans, leading to the rise of the Dark Elves.
On that day, Melidie looked at Kelsuna, frozen in terror—what could resistance achieve? She was no match for Melidie.
Kelsuna was haunted by the nightmare of witnessing her "mother" die again, unable to intervene.
Maiyee gave her last strength to the little maidservant who had been with her for two centuries, fundamentally changing Kelsuna's essence.

Chapter Three

When Lord Deity began sealing original sins, Kelsuna lived in hiding. She often thought of revenge but knew it wasn't Melidie's fault.
Once she gained power, Kelsuna realized the Elves couldn't challenge Lord Deity; fighting back would lead to their demise like the dragons. The new world, with no wars, didn't seem so bad.
Loneliness plagued her long life. Maiyee's last gift transformed Kelsuna's existence. An elf with Heartwood's power possessed immense strength and longevity.
However, she suffered nightmares. The Queen's warm smile became a poison in her dreams. Kelsuna attempted to end her life multiple times, but Heartwood's power quickly healed her.
Ashamed of her actions, Kelsuna felt guilt toward the Queen but feared confronting a Yarve.
She lived quietly until 802 of the Era of Eternal Flame when a cloaked figure approached her. Their identity was unknown.
The figure spoke of overthrowing Lord Deity to restore the world. Kelsuna refused, believing it impossible and valuing the happiness the current world offered. This might be Mirren's best era.
"As far as I know, Dark Tone and White Night are alive. They fled to Cantwell with the Heartwood's buds, and Lillia's hounds are still hunting them."
"The Heartwood's remaining power is sealed within you. Without your help, Karianthillae can't grow, and the Elves will truly become extinct."
"That's not what Maiyee wanted. You were born when gods still existed. You know what you've lost. Don't hesitate. Will you let it happen again?"
"Her Majesty…" The elf whispered something unheard. Under the moon, a girl with a frog-shaped hairpin clenched her fists, trembling.
Kelsuna and like-minded allies formed a team, becoming more than colleagues; they supported each other and gained influence.
Eventually, Torah extended an olive branch, sharing similar but grander goals—to help mortals escape the new world's limitations, restore original sins and desires, and return to their true nature.
For the first time, Kelsuna felt respected and believed in her cause.
However, as time passed, many comrades changed. Original sins corrupted them, planting seeds of downfall. Betrayal soon followed.
"Leave, Kelsuna."
"No. I won't run this time. Perhaps this result is what I truly desire."
"The Nova pities no original sin, regardless of your reasoning."
"Even if they sin and are driven by desires… mortals will grow from these experiences."
The revolt collapsed under Kurokami Shion's attack, and all who aided them were eliminated. Kelsuna's dreams shattered along with her organization.

Historical Notes

Fianna:
Fianna Lunula (16917–17890, Era of Frost Veil) was a Forest Elf and the mother of Kelsuna. The title "Lunula" was given to her.

Maiyee:
Maiyee (17199–18187, Era of Frost Veil), known as "The Final Chapter of Birth," is celebrated as the greatest queen in elven history.

Melidie:
Melidie (17824–Era of Frost Veil – Era of Eternal Flame 24), the adopted daughter of Elf Queen Maiyee, was the High Commander of Hilica and led the northern front in Ciaran. Idolized by young elves, she faced a crisis after the defeat in the Sacred Dragon War and the Sea Ban, which weakened Maiyee's authority. With Lord Deity assembling powerful forces, Melidie ultimately killed the mad Elven Sovereign to preserve the elven race. Though she saved countless lives, Melidie was labeled "The Kinslayer" and "The Betrayer" by some Elves.

Elves:
Elves have a unique growth process, remaining in a juvenile state until reaching adulthood, after which they physically remain unchanged until death. Signs of aging signify imminent death. Under Queen Maiyee, the elves flourished, with Yarve reaching unprecedented prosperity. However, their eventual defeat in the Sacred Dragon War devastated the race, forcing their retreat from Ciaran.

Thelios' Magic Array:
The Thelios' Magic Array originated during the Daemon Guild's rule over the Zinew Archipelago (Era of Rebirth 26754–Era of Frost Veil 4493). A defensive structure was built to counter rising sea monster threats and monopolistic trade, but the immense costs hastened the Daemon Guild's downfall. The Shirre Treasury later revived the array, connecting islands into a massive defensive structure.

The Nova:
Kurokami Shion (793–822, Era of Eternal Flame), known as "Everlasting Light," was a member of the Kurokami family and co-founder of the Sanctuary of Truth. Renowned for her achievements in the Torah Extermination Battle, she became the youngest Nova at age 12. Although expected to become a prominent leader, Shion withdrew from public life to focus on creating the Absolving Theocracy at Lord Deity's behest. She established strict rules promoting lifelong service and sacrificed her soul to seal evil forces within the Tower of Sanctity. Her incredible accomplishments, despite living for less than 30 years, cemented her as the greatest Nova of her era.
