Remi
Basic File
Personal Info
One of Lu Xuan's adopted children and the youngest member of Carefree Sanctuary.
A gifted martial artist, Remi remains humble, tirelessly training to match her elder sisters' prowess.
She holds deep reverence for Lu Xuan and her senior sisters, following their guidance without question.
Innocent to a fault, Remi placed unconditional faith in others that had backfired more than once.
But instead of growing wary, she dismissed such setbacks as mere proof of her own inadequacy, leaving Lingyao and Saico torn between facepalming and patting her head.
Chronicles
That little Remi girl trains in the mountain all the time. At first, we were all worried sick about her; turns out we were fretting over nothing!
Rather than worrying she might get hurt, we should worry about when she'll wipe out every last monster in these hills! Haha!
And that kid's got a heart of gold, too. When we hunters get in trouble, she will jump right in to help.
Every time she finishes training, she even gives us the monsters she's defeated as game. Practically everyone living around here owes her a favor or two.
- A Veteran Hunter
Teaching Remi is effortless. With exceptional focus and a sharp mind, she can master most techniques after one demonstration.
As Uncle would say: "Rare talent, brilliant comprehension."
But don't let that reliable demeanor fool you. She lacks confidence beneath it all. When confronted with the unexpected, she still falters.
She'll need more practical experience going forward.
- Lingyao from Carefree Sanctuary
Our Remi's almost too responsible. Give her any task and she'll perfect it without supervision.
Whenever she's uncertain about something, she always comes to us for advice first, then practices until she masters it.
Having such an amazing young sister really is a blessing... though her progress does give me mixed feelings.
What kind, you ask? Hehe! The good kind! At this rate, soon there will be nothing left for me to teach her!
- Saico from Carefree Sanctuary
Record
After completing her own missions, Remi eagerly assists other members, seeking out ways to lighten the team's workload.
Her diligent, kind-hearted nature has endeared her to the team, who dote on her while gently teaching her the importance of self-care.
Under their mentorship, Remi has grown exponentially, not only in strength but also in judgment and independence.
She now handles routine missions with reliable competence, a far cry from the unsure novice she once was.
Yet despite her commitments to the squad, she never neglects Carefree Sanctuary's duties, acting promptly on every directive.
When faced with particularly thorny issues, she consults her teammates before proceeding, refusing to let overconfidence dictate her actions.
Anecdote
"Next up! Whoever defeats the Demon King of this mountain first wins!"
"Aria, there are only regular monsters on this mountain, no?"
"Yeah, Aria. If there were a Demon King here, Uncle would've taken care of it already!"
"Ugh, Ciel, Remi, you ask too many questions! A loud ‘Understood’ will do!"
"Understood!"
"Good, that's the spirit! Now let's charge! First one to take down the Demon King wins!"
"Yeah! Let's go!"
"Ciel, Aria... So what exactly is the Demon King...?"
Remi called at Ciel's and Aria's retreating figures, but the two were already gone in a burst of enthusiasm.
Clenching her fists, she took a deep breath and dashed into the mountains after them.
"I guess... I just have to beat the strongest monster here, right?"
Before long, Remi lost sight of her sisters. After she fought valiantly against wave after wave of monsters, her sisters were nowhere to be found.
The unfamiliar terrain and prolonged solitude began to gnaw at her courage. She called out for them repeatedly.
But the more frantic she grew, the more lost she became. Before she knew it, Remi had completely lost her bearings—even the way back down the mountain now eluded her.
"I'm still too weak. I can't even handle a simple game like this..."
"Ciel... Aria... Where are you? I'm so scared... I miss you... Waaah..." Curled up beneath a towering tree, she sobbed quietly.
Then, after what felt like an eternity, a brilliant sword gleam flashed ahead, followed by Lingyao's voice calling her name.
"Yao! Yao came for me! Over here!"
On the way back, Saico and Lingyao took turns lecturing the group about their recklessness. "Next time, you will tell us before running off."
Aria, guilty for leading Ciel and Remi astray, kept her head down in silent remorse.
As for Remi? The moment her sisters appeared, all her fear had melted away, replaced by overwhelming relief.
"My sisters are so dependable... I'll work hard to become someone just like them!"
Watching their backs, she quietly renewed her resolve.
