Personal Info
As the first child adopted by Lu Xuan into the Carefree Sanctuary, Lingyao is regarded as the senior sister among the girls.
Bright, quick-witted, and possessing strength and composure far beyond her years, she's made more than a few overconfident Explorers regret underestimating her.
Lingyao travels extensively across the Abyss, eliminating monsters in the name of the Carefree Sanctuary to uphold the peace.
Her efforts have earned both her and Carefree Sanctuary considerable renown, making her a trusted figure among Explorers.
Yet beneath her exceptional prowess, she retains a youthful curiosity, always drawn to novelty and excitement.
You can easily find her at grand festivals and lively events among the crowd.
Chronicles
Lady Lingyao? Heh, of course I know her! She's about my daughter's age. They get along great, and more importantly, she's our savior!
She came all the way to help us fight those monsters. Without her, this whole Outpost would've been rubble by now.
Don't let her age fool you either. She is crazy strong. Then again, what else would you expect from Master Lu Xuan's disciple and Carefree Sanctuary representative?
— An Outpost Manager
Yao's perfect in every way... except she's way too soft on the younger girls. They just have to whine a little, and she caves in instantly.
Plus, even after spending weeks slaughtering monsters, she never rests properly. Hear about something fun? CHOOM! She's out the door again.
Ugh, she's just as bad as the younger ones sometimes.
But for me and the rest of the girls, she's our role model. We're all pushing ourselves to grow faster, to become someone as amazing as her... and take some weight off her shoulders.
— Saico from Carefree Sanctuary
Yao is the best! Every time she comes back from missions, she brings us gifts.
If she finds something cool, she'll drag us along to check it out immediately.
Even combat training's fun with her. Barely any boring drills, just games and competitions instead. She makes everything like playtime!
We owe all our skills to how she looks after us.
— Remi from Carefree Sanctuary
Gifted. Persistent. Not bad.
Disciplined, compassionate. Not bad.
Principled. Altruistic. Not bad.

Record
Many team members were intrigued by this young new arrival who had already made a name for herself.
The moment Lingyao arrived at the team base, outgoing members immediately swarmed her with questions, eager to learn more about the Carefree Sanctuary's senior sister.
Those who missed their chance or were too shy to approach instead lingered nearby, finding excuses to cross her path.
She handled it all with effortless grace, answering questions with patience and warmth while flashing smiles at passersby like a seasoned hostess.
Within days, she became one of them, winning the group's trust.
But it was during actual missions that she truly stunned them. Her formidable displays of skill left many questioning if her youthful appearance belied her true age.
And among those who had initially seen her only as a young girl who required special care, more than a few now regarded her as a reliable ally to lean on.
Anecdote
"According to Uncle's predictions, that Outpost up ahead might come under monster attack in the next few days."
"But how do I convince them to believe me? Even if I show Uncle's token, most people take one look at me and start doubting..."
The buildings of the Outpost gradually came into focus as Lingyao wrestled with the problem.
After all, at the last Outpost, even after presenting Lu Xuan's token, the manager had hesitated, only relenting after a servant vouched for her.
"Well, no use overthinking it. Maybe this Outpost manager will be easier to talk to."
She gave her cheeks a light slap to refocus, but as she looked ahead toward the Outpost, something felt off.
"That smoke... No, it's not from cooking fires! Are the monsters already attacking?!"
Chaos had already taken hold. Monsters poured through shattered defenses as panicked crowds scrambled in every direction. The air was thick with screams, human and inhuman, weaving together into a chorus of despair.
The Outpost manager shouted himself hoarse, trying to rally a few fighters to form a defensive line. But in the tide of fear, barely anyone responded.
"Waaah! Mama! Papa! Where are you?!" A lost girl's terrified sobs cut through the din.
They drew the attention of nearby monsters. Just as they lunged for her—
Lingyao materialized between them.
"Thank you so much, Miss Lingyao! We'll never forget your kindness!"
"No need for thanks," she chuckled. "Protecting people from monsters is what Carefree Sanctuary does."
"Stay close to your mama next time, alright?"
"Mm."
As Lingyao watched the girl burrow into her mother's embrace, she rose slightly on her toes and gently patted the child's head before turning away.
"Just moments ago, she was terrified... Yet in her mother's arms, the tears stop instantly. How comforting that must feel."
"...Uncle used to hold me like that too, back when I cried. Maybe a mother's arms feel just as warm."
