Letitia

Personal Info
Daughter of Sailsbury, head of the Guild Support Division, Letitia has been quick-witted and gifted since childhood. A beauty, she excels in every field—academics, martial arts, magic, everything.
She has a strong personality and a proud streak. She strives for perfection in everything and refuses to cut corners. She's fair in how she treats others and doesn't judge people by their status or background.
From time to time, people spread rumors that she's arrogant or throws her weight around, but every one of them has proven false.
In fact, people who have actually spent time with Letitia usually speak very highly of her. Calling her chivalrous, kind-hearted, generous, and compassionate...
It's hard to connect those comments with the Letitia who usually acts so high-profile, but repeated checks have confirmed that every one of these comments about her is true.
Perhaps this is exactly what the ancients meant when they said, "Seeing is not always believing."
Chronicles
Our families have known each other for ages, so I've known her for quite a while too. Honestly, she hasn't changed much.
Most of that pride and stubborn front she shows? It's just a mask. She cares about the surrounding people more than anyone.
Sure, she can be a little willful sometimes, but that's just because she's strong-willed. Once she sets her mind on something, nobody can stop her. Well, maybe one person could. Heh.
To me, the lady is just like my senior—both are my benefactors. If I hadn't met them, I would never be who I am today.
— Osadin
It was my lady who pulled me out of the rubble. She taught me how to survive—everything I have now comes from her.
She is the best, perfect person in the world!
Being allowed to stay by her side is an honor, and I'll work hard to become someone worthy of her kindness.
— Liva
Miss Letitia is strong and gentle, and she's always considerate of everyone around her.
She's brave, sharp, and always keeps calm, no matter what happens. Just having Liva with her is enough for her to walk into the Abyss without hesitation... Her courage is impressive.
Working with her feels incredibly safe. I just hope that one day, I can be someone as reliable as she is.
— Annis
She's quite capable. When we fight together, I can immediately feel how well she responds and cooperates.
It's surprising, honestly. She doesn't look like the type, but that's the truth.
Beyond her martial skills, the techniques she's mastered and the way she handles different tools go far beyond what I expected.
I haven't met many truly outstanding Explorers, but Letitia is definitely one of them.

Record
Ever since officially joining the team, Letitia has leveraged her experience to assist with schedule planning, risk assessment for commissions, and other administrative tasks.
Many members who find those tasks a headache have come to her for help. Letitia never turns anyone away. She might grumble a little, but she never stops working.
As she puts it, "Better I handle everything myself than leave it to a bunch of half-baked amateurs and invite who-knows-what kind of trouble."
It didn't take long for Letitia to settle into life at the base and get used to the many personalities on the team.
She's still dissatisfied with, if anything, probably just the rough living conditions at the base.
That said, aside from asking Liva to help tidy things up when she first arrived and paying out of pocket for some extra supplies, she hasn't brought it up again.
The others have grown quite fond of this "laid-back young lady," and often come to chat with her. Letitia is never evasive. Ask her something, and she'll give you a straight answer.
Is it just my imagination? It really feels like she's starting to enjoy this kind of life...
In any case, we'll keep an eye on things. Her learning to enjoy life as an Explorer would definitely be no bad thing.
Anecdote
In a large workshop, a girl in plain clothes sat at a table, going through ledgers while the workshop manager stood reporting on recent developments.
This month, all workshops have been running at full capacity. Production of food and daily necessities is up nearly fifty percent compared to last month.
All surplus stock has been sent to several hubs where black market traders were trying to drive up prices. The outcome has been very effective.
The girl allowed herself a small smile.
That's more like it. Many basic supplies in the Abyss are poorly regulated. The moment someone starts hoarding and manipulating prices, ordinary people suffer for it.
You're absolutely right, lady. With us quietly flooding the supply, those black market traders are bound to take heavy losses this time.
It's still not enough. We need to maintain this for a little while longer. People like that only behave after they've really been burned. Let up too soon, and they'll be back to their old tricks in no time.
Also, two Outposts in the east were hit hard by a recent Beast Tide. Increase the shipments there. Make sure the people can get through this and finish rebuilding.
At her orders, the manager quickly ran the numbers in his head.
As usual, we've been giving out relief supplies for free or selling them at big discounts. Now that we're also fighting a price war with the black market, I'm afraid our profits won't be able to cover—
Not everything is about profit.
Understood, lady. Should we continue to use the name Kindhearted Explorer for this round of relief?
Mm.
Forgive my boldness, lady, but something I've never been able to understand.
Go on.
All of these businesses were built up by you alone. They have nothing to do with your family.
When we provide aid to those poor Explorers and Scavengers, why don't we do it under your name? Isn't that a wasted chance to win hearts and build your reputation?
Do you really think I care about that?
Well, I suppose it doesn't hurt to tell you.
The reason I set all of this up separately was that I wanted to do something, in my own way, for the people risking their lives to open up the Abyss.
Glory, money—there's no shortage of ways to earn them. I just won't do it by hanging favors over other people's heads.
As he watched the girl lounging against the back of her chair, a quiet, hard-to-put-into-words respect welled up in him.
Thank you, lady. It was shallow of me.
I probably won't be able to visit as often in the future. If my attendant arrives instead, treat her as if she were me.
I'll leave the rest to you. Make sure there isn't a single delay in sending support to the disaster zones.
At once, lady!
