Case 1

Banks Port, the place Sova calls home, is the largest military port of Bifrost Industries. Back when Nebu invaded and occupied much of Augustine and Eastrise, and Bifrost Industries teetered on the brink of collapse, Banks Port, the only place not locked down at the time, became the silver lining. Thanks to its existence, large amounts of supplies could go around the locked-down Nebu and reached Bifrost, allowing the latter to mount a counterattack. The invasion may be over now, but Nebu has never stopped its infiltration of Banks Port, and that's what Sova had to live with growing up.

Case 2

Sova spent most of her childhood training. Her mother, a Banks Port leader who sat on a mountain of intel, didn't tolerate weakness in people around her, including her daughter. Sova's mother told her that she would be abandoned as soon as she became too much of a burden. If she wanted to be taken seriously by her mother, she had to be able to protect herself first.
Sova received a compound bow from her mother, and thus began her long journey of training. During those years, she had no communication with her mother other than the monthly report on how well she did in school and on the hunting grounds.

Case 3

When Sova was 15, her mother was assassinated. Sova found her mother's will and a black list in her mother's computer. This little 'night owl', now freed from her cage, started showing the world her sharp claws: she killed all the thirteen people on the list with an arrow through the throat. When the higher-ups of the Bifrost military learned of this alarming event, they saw potential in Sova, granted her asylum, and sent her to be trained by Fenriru. Fenriru further unleashed Sova's potential and freed her from hatred.
