Case 1
Niz may not come off as the talkative type, but she has given more than a few public speeches. Every time she finishes a speech, she takes a few questions from the audience and then quickly leaves without saying anything unnecessary. Her days in the army gave her a decisive and impersonal aura. Under her leadership, Bifrost Industries has become a powerful well-oiled machine that gets things done.
Case 2
For Niz, the name Mahiru was often heard throughout her childhood. Back when the Joint Council was still a united whole, Niz's father, a member of the council, was killed in a political conspiracy. Her colleague, Mahiru, who was unmarried at the time, adopted Niz and treated her as her own. She smothered Niz with love, giving her a happy childhood unaffected by her father's death. When Niz was 16, Mahiru asked her to go back to the Bifrost Industries. As baffled as Niz was, she respected her mother's decision and did as she was told. After that, she quickly grew from a delicate girl into the first queen the Bifrost Industries ever had. The next time she saw her mother was when she was assassinated. Interestingly enough, not long after that, Niz herself experienced an assassination attempt organized by Yulia, but she survived.
Case 3
In a sense, Raeon and Niz are sisters of the same mother, Mahiru. When Niz left Mahiru, Raeon was still little. After Mahiru died, Raeon did a few things that disgusted and shocked Niz. That's why Niz doesn't like Raeon. At important meetings, Raeon still calls Niz sister, but Niz only responds with a cold nod.
During breaks, Niz sometimes takes out the picture of Raeon and looks at it thoughtfully. She marvels at her striking resemblance to Mahiru and thinks of the night before she returned to the Bifrost Industries: She and Raeon rested on Mahiru's lap amid the occasional sound of pinewood crackling in the fireplace; Mahiru stroked the hair of her girls, her eyes filled with sadness and affection.
