Case 1

Shelly lived in a border area as a kid. In wartime, she was in constant fear of harassment from rival factions. She sought refuge in comic books telling stories of heroes. Over time, she developed an obsession with those stories and started dreaming every night of herself becoming a hero. But every time she woke up, reality came back and all she saw was a war-torn world. Perhaps as a way of concealing her fear, Shelly made boastful claims to other kids that she was a hero who could protect them, and she made up stories to back them up. At first, the kids bought it. But Shelly always chickened out when push came to shove. Over time, the kids saw through her lies and started treating her as a joke.

Case 2

She was not ready to relinquish her status as "the leader of the pack," but she didn't have a strong physique to support her ambition either. This landed her in a lot of trouble. But every time after she got beaten up and the kids left her alone, she would continue to rehearse her role as the leader figure. Shelly realized that it was her weak heart that got her in this situation. In order to grow stronger, she joined the Pontifical Guards. And now she's working hard to become the hero who can protect everyone.
