Yuli

I

Qian has long been home to many unique families, each with its own special craft, and Yuli hails from one such family of puppetmasters. However, Yuli remembers little of her past, having lost her memory in a tragic accident. Only her puppet companion Sue and her natural talent for puppetry provide clues about who she once was.
With no living relatives and grateful for the kindness of Yuanquan, who took her in, Yuli chose to stay with Weishi as Yuanquan's personal bodyguard.
Like adding colors to a blank canvas, Yuli is discovering her new life while searching for the meaning of her existence alongside her companions in the Weishi.

Although Sue is not a living being, Yuli considers her a true friend, perhaps because the two have been inseparable since Yuli first regained her memories.
Sue is one of the few links to Yuli's past, and in many ways, she holds a wealth of knowledge about puppetry. It was Sue who helped Yuli rediscover the touch and skill needed to control and create puppets. Sue even remembers Yuli's birthday, her age, and her hometown. When Yuli visited the address Sue mentioned, she found the place abandoned, and no one knew what had happened to the mysterious family of puppetmasters.
Over time, Yuli has come to accept the reality of her memory loss. As she began to find her footing in CangLin City and started a new life, Sue played a crucial role. Whenever Yuli found herself in a pinch due to a lack of everyday knowledge, Sue would always provide the necessary information to help her navigate the situation. Sue even taught her how to manage household chores and cook, allowing Yuli to contribute what she could for the WeiShi members, earning their gratitude. "Little Yuli is like our mom," Azi once remarked fondly, holding the hand-woven scarf Yuli had made for her.
Being able to help others brings Yuli great joy, and she shares these thoughts with Sue, even though Sue never responds like a real human. Every night, Yuli talks to her about her day before drifting off to sleep... After all, Sue is her dear friend!

To a puppetmaster, puppets are like children to a mother. For Yuli, each puppet she creates holds special meaning. She always carries them with her, ensuring they blend seamlessly into the crowds as they move in unison.
It is unclear who first created Sue, but Yuli suspects that Sue was crafted by someone from her ancestral line long before her birth and passed down through the generations until it reached her. Yuli has not yet mastered the skills required to create another puppet like Sue, but she can understand the feelings of Sue's original creator. Crafting even a small puppet takes countless hours of effort, so one can only imagine the dedication required to craft a powerful and intelligent puppet like Sue. It must have been like carrying a child for ten months, with every ounce of care and devotion poured into it.
Once crafted, a puppet becomes an independent entity. Even if the puppetmaster turns to dust or disappears, the puppet remains. This is why Yuli seldom parts with any of her puppets—she desires to be with her "children" as much as she can during her limited life. Among all the puppets, her favorite is Sue, followed by a small puppet named "Chuhuang," designed in his likeness, responsible for reconnaissance and communication.
Perhaps one day, someone might enter her life, occupying a place in her heart even more significant than a mother's love for her "children." At that time, Yuli will craft a puppet, dedicating it as a gift to that person. Even as her own body decays, the puppet will forever carry their shared memories, preserving them until the end of time and beyond.

Following her companions' suggestion, Yuli decided to try raising small animals. Her first pet was a stray cat that followed her home from the streets. It's safe to say that everyone has their own unique talents, and aside from puppetry, Yuli's gift lies in her bond with animals.。
She seems to have a natural connection with them. Even a simple wave of her hand often draws cats and dogs to follow her home. To make her pets feel welcome, she set up a few soundproofed rooms in her house, complete with nutritious food, clean and cozy spaces, and an array of toys. In her free time, she enjoys playing with them and grooming their fur. Before long, her pets became sleek, healthy, and thriving, and her collection of animals continued to grow.
When the members of WeiShi visited Yuli's home for the first time, they were surprised to find it resembling a cat café—or perhaps even a small zoo. "Don't you get tired of taking care of all these animals?"
"Not at all. They're all very well-behaved," Yuli would reply. Her knack for caring for living creatures is so remarkable that some say she'd make an excellent kindergarten teacher.
Of course, even with her natural talent, Yuli occasionally faces challenges, like forgetting to lock the door and accidentally letting her pets escape. But despite these mishaps, her pets bring her immense joy. Watching them happily eat the meals she's prepared fills her with a deep sense of satisfaction. Her "home zoo" has become famous among the members of WeiShi, who often stop by when they're stressed to pet the animals and unwind.
